Paid Ads

Paid advertising on Google refers to the practice of paying to display ads on Google’s search engine results pages (SERPs), as well as on other Google-owned platforms such as YouTube, Gmail, and various partner websites within the Google Display Network.

The most common form of paid advertising on Google is through Google Ads, formerly known as Google AdWords. Google Ads operates on a pay-per-click (PPC) model, where advertisers bid on specific keywords relevant to their products or services. When users search for these keywords on Google, the ads appear at the top or bottom of the search results page, labelled as “Ad” or “Sponsored.”

The M3 team are all highly proficient in PPC Management on both Google and Microsoft, and they all undertake annual training as a minimum, and attend meetings with Google on a regular basis to work to improve their skills, which is reflected in the performance of your Ads Campaigns and your Return on Investment (ROI).

M3 are a Google Partner, and have been since 2010.

Here’s how paid advertising on Google typically works:

Advertiser Setup: M3 create ads using the Google Ads platform, specifying details such as ad copy, headlines, display URLs, and targeting criteria.

Keyword Targeting: M3 select keywords related to your business that you want to target with you ads. We bid on these keywords, indicating the maximum amount we are willing to pay each time someone clicks on you ad (cost-per-click or CPC).

Ad Auction: When a user performs a search query on Google, Google runs an auction to determine which ads will appear on the search results page and in what order. The auction takes into account factors such as bid amount, ad relevance, landing page quality, and ad extensions.

Ad Display: Ads that win the auction are displayed on the search results page, either at the top (above organic results) or bottom (below organic results). You are charged only when users click on their ads, hence the term “pay-per-click” (PPC).

Performance Monitoring: M3 monitor the performance of your ads in real-time using the Google Ads dashboard. We can track metrics such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate, and return on investment (ROI).

Paid advertising on Google offers several advantages, including:

Immediate Visibility: Ads can appear at the top of search results instantly, providing immediate visibility to potential customers.
Targeted Reach: You can target your ads to specific geographic locations, demographics, interests, and devices, ensuring you reach your desired audience.
Measurable Results: Google Ads provides detailed performance metrics, allowing M3 to track the effectiveness of your campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
Flexible Budgeting: You have full control over your advertising budget and M3 can adjust bids, targeting criteria, and ad spend on your behalf at any time.

Overall, paid advertising on Google is a powerful marketing tool for businesses looking to increase website traffic, generate leads, and drive sales.
