When Google asked us to become a Google Ads Advisor, to help them improve the services they offered to the Google Ads community, we jumped at the chance of being able to offer our opinion, and develop a platform that was better suited to our needs, alongside Google. But, as it turned out, it has helped us in more ways than we could have thought.
Advanced Knowledge
One of the benefits of being a Google Ads Advisor is that when they send over the regular surveys, we get to know what Google are looking to change next.
To be honest, we thought everything was going to be about ads, but it seems that Google want our input and insights into all the Google platforms, and we have been asked about Ads, yes, but also things like Google 360, GA4, Looker Studio and more.
Let’s give you an example. Recently we were asked about TV advertising, and how impactful this was as an agency and for our clients. Google asked whether we used TV ads, how we measured their success, what KPIs did we use, and whether or not the data Google provided was accurate.
We have also been asked about GDPR, and whether or not we feel Google has been transparent, that the data is safe and secure etc.
We have also been asked extensively about Google Analytics, specifically GA4, and how effective it is, whether the data is accurate or not, how comparable it is with other platforms, and what type of integrations would be useful.
So, how is this advanced knowledge? Well, if we are being asked these questions, they are seriously considering the platform and the next round of upgrades. Otherwise, why would they ask?
GA4 and possible next phases
We have very recently been asked about GA4, and in [articular about how happy we are with the platform, which we have been asked about a lot recently. But this specific survey was asking about integrations.
Cookies and being Cookieless has been under discussion for some time, and of course that means third party data has to be measured independently, so Facebook data is on Facebook etc.
Being asked questions that specifically wanted to know what integrated data was important to them, means this is getting closer, and they are looking at rolling out simple integrations, so as we can import the data into GA4, meaning GA4 is still the one stop shop for all things analytics.
This means they are looking at pulling in spreadsheets from Facebook/Instagram, TikTok and even your own CRM, and being able to field map that data so that it aligns with GA4 and serves you better data, so you can make informed business and marketing decisions.
We love being a Google Ads Advisor, and love getting that snippet of insider knowledge as to what Google are planning next. so stay tuned, and we will keep on sharing, so you know too.
