Why you should not use AI for content creation

Well, consider how ai works for a bit. It searches existing content on the web and pulls this into an answer in a readable way. The fact that it pulls in other peoples content (even if it is cited) means this could end up flagging the search engines as plagiarised content – which will mean your content is penalised by the Search Engines and may not even get indexed.

It is really important to use your own content. It should be unique, relevant and helpful too, just like this piece of content is. Having new content on existing pages is also important, so if you have an old blog or article, you can use AI potentially to ask if there have been any updates since the content was written, and then you can update the page accordingly, and then ask the search engines to revisit the content, using Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster tools.

In fact we strongly recommend updating old content, to ensure your users find the most relevant and up to date information about a topic, on your website. This helps reinforce your position as the fountain of knowledge in your industry.

Meanwhile, despite having written about a few of these topics as detailed above, we have added what we are missing into our own content plan, and will roll out content based on these new ideas soon. Watch this space.
