The problem:
Below is the conversation we had with a client who was looking to improve their brand cohesiveness.
CLIENT:
“We are very visible online, however we want to improve our online conversions”
US:
Let’s look at the analytics and then make changes to your website on an ongoing basis. We do this using 3 simple steps:
- First step is to look at your analytical data to understand the blockages, and see what can be improved.
- Next we look at the User Experience and UX data to again see what can be improved
- Finally we make the changes required to improve your conversion rate. Once this is done, we go back to step one and improve again. Little by little, step by step.
key Points:
- We started working with this company in 2011, the project started a few years in.
- The aim was to increase conversions and develop a platform that the organisation could use globally
- The project was to evolve over a number of years
The Solution:
- Phase 1 – Analytical data was gathered, studied and recommendations for improvement were made in conjunction with best practices and in-depth knowledge of UX.
- Phase 2 – Continual improvements were made, which began the process of the development work of the online conversion portal.
- Phase 3 – The recommendations were the start of the portal development.
- Phase 4 – M3 are continually improving and refining to convert more and more.
Performance:
- 2012 – The idea for improvements came in 2012. 5.14% conversion rate was in place, with a cart abandonment of 78.20%
- 2014 – Portal development started & is continually evolving.
- 2018 – Improvements have been astonishing. 20.91% Conversion Rate (as compared with 5.14% & cart abandonment has dropped to 36.04% (as compared with 78.20%)
- Challenge Achieved – Our client are being asked for the secret from many other large organisations.
- Present Date – We continue to work not only with this charity but many more in different sectors to improve their donations online.

This result has been driven through detailed analysis, user experience knowledge, best practices and the development of a portal that converts and can be integrated into many CRMs and Payment portals.
Summary
The challenge was to improve conversions, and after many reviews of analytics and multiple website tweaks a unique portal was developed that improved conversions and reduced cart abandonment rate significantly.
